The Atlanta Vestibular Disorders Support Group

This page has been created to provide support and information to people in the Metro Atlanta area. We have a support group meeting six times a year and you're invited.

The vestibular system is the inner ear balance system responsible for tolerance of movements, position in space sense, reference for vision and balance. If any part of the system is not working correctly, a person may suffer symptoms of vertigo, dizziness, imbalance, falls, nausea, concentration problems, position in space problems, poor tolerance of movements, hearing loss, tinnitus, visual blurring and/or anxiety.

The Atlanta Vestibular Disorders Support Group has been established to foster the following goals:

To provide a support network for people coping with dizziness, balance disorders, vertigo, motion intolerance, and other related problems.
To provide a resource for information and services.
To educate the public about vestibular disorders and their effects.
To support research and clinical activities to improve the quality of life for people affected by vestibular disorders.
